My art is about exploring fresh interpretations by observing my environment. I'm inspired by my immediate experiences as well my world travels. Being spontaneous and present is the most spiritual aspect of my work! I want to transcend everyday life as we know it, celebrating rhythm, energy, mystery and surprise. Indeed, creating beauty is a miracle, and who doesn’t need a miracle now and then?

About me

I live life with enthusiasm and creativity, choosing to paint as a way of processing what I see and feel—both to have an immediate and vital experience, and to create an experience for others to explore.

I am an avid traveler, and seek inspiration in new and provocative surroundings. Be it of the earth or the machinery of humankind, the world pulses with life and beseeches an interactive response. I want to share the motion and rhythm I feel and see! To celebrate spontaneity and joy. To be vulnerable and encounter deep feelings. To explore the essence of spirit and share my findings.

Art for me is the bridge between being and sensing, thus living life in its fullest offering. Making art connects me to the greater universe: to people, places, ideas, and romance. It’s essential.

I am a Bay Area native, a third generation Californian, and have lived in Marin for 27 years. I earned a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley and studied monotype printmaking at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in Southern California. I have been working from my studio at the Industrial Center Building in Sausalito, CA, for 13 years and have been exhibiting actively for the last 17 years in solo, group, and juried exhibitions.  My work is found in numerous collections both at home, nationally, and abroad.
